Visible from space!! – Kenton Bar street Furniture
Yes – along with the Great Wall of China – two of the remaining climbing frames on Kenton Bar estate are visible from space………………….see this comment from ‘The Bosnian’ HERE
Images are from Google Earth – the greatest ever web application……if you have not installed it – then do so NOW!!!
First one is near the 3-storey flats at the bottom of the school field – nr. Hartburn Walk on the top of the small hillock. The second one is on Ryal walk – same as the one that Mensforth mentioned earlier – the table and chairs a La “Le Corbusier…….”
the awning above the shops appears to be gone (ike I said previously in 'news from the estate') on the google earth plan view-there seems to be no street view of the shops, possibly because there is no road access and they maybe have all the equiptment fixed in the car?. However you can get a street view of the back of the shops in street view which clearly specifies what some of the shops are used for now(there are signs)one spells 'kebab' as 'kabab'-I thought it was'kebab'!

ReplyDeletegoogle earth once zoomed in so far then automatically switches to images views taken from a plane.
So no, the Kenton Bar "street furniture" is not visible from space, that is obvious to anyone with even a basic understanding about high altitude and satellite photography.

ReplyDeleteDear Space Cadet - get a fucking life. if you have a basic understanding of satellite photography etc. then you obviously don't get out much. Tell your mam to stop you using the computer for a few hours and try walking instead of wanking.
