  1. I was going to post on the previous blog that I thought their factory was in Peterlee.

The Tudor Crisps man was very happy to replace bags that were short measure or had the odd manky crisp in. Apparently it was quite regular for a crisp to get stuck in the pipe and a couple to go into the box with not enough in. I think they weighed the box.

That was back in the early 70s, I imagine each individual bag is weighed these days after crimping.

  2. I remember watching 'why dont you...'and they told you how to make badges out of crisp packets.
    1. put tudor crisp packet(empty) in oven on low and watch carefully via oven window(If you didn't it turned into a burned cinder,or worse molten plastic set fire to oven causing fire and possible death...) You could watch it shrinking, decreasing in size until it was a badge size.
2.You then took the miniture tudor crisp packet, now size of badge out of the oven.
    3. Finally, you put a safety pin through it, from the side.(not sure if you had to do this first, before putting tudor crisp packet in oven-might have beeen to hard to do it at end of process.Cant remember... You now had a tudor crisp badge! Anyone else remember doing that?
