The body
Anyone remember the time a kid called Norman discovered the body of a 'tramp' in the undergrowth on the middle of the big roundabout at the top of Kenton Bar?apparently he had been there some weeks...
Dedicated to Kenton Bar Estate and the Kenton Bar Pyramid. Situated to the north west of Newcastle Upon Tyne. Kenton Bar is a housing estate that is part of Kenton Ward in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. It is situated next to North Kenton, Cragston Park and Cowgate. It was the product of the architectural partnership Gordon Ryder and Peter Yates. The blog is particularly interested in the architecture of the estate and also to hear anecdotes from Kenton Bar residents past and present
Why was this "Normal" lurking in the trees on the roundabout - ask yourself that>>>>>..
ReplyDeleteI can remember that being found, it made the papers. Maybe 1975?

ReplyDeleteIt was Norman Ferren and Steven Coburn that found the body,as Mr Ferguson says we were playing hide and seek at the time, when Cocky(Steven Coburn)sat on the bodys legs whilest hiding....It was'nt a tramp it was a patiant from St Nicks....
ReplyDeleteActually it was me, Brian Fish. I killed the tramp after molesting him, never killed since but think I will again soon. PS Love the pics of the pyry.
ReplyDeleteNext week I shall go and try to resolve this mystery and find the newspaper article...1975 you say?...
ReplyDeleteI don't know how my post re-appeared here, I was off-net in Florida for two weeks until April 17th.
ReplyDeleteI was playing around with a new comments system from a third party and it mysteriously posted a lot of comments from the past - about 75 of them all at 2:34 PM on April 13th. Needless to say I won;t be using that system..............
ReplyDeletespent 3 hours searching 1975 looking for it in the Journal archives at city library...to no avail...fergie etc:can you remember what time of year it was?-winter/spring/summer/autumn?-this will narrow the search...if you give me this info I will try the evening chronicle archive-it would help enormously if we can narrow down the search period...
