The blog received yet another email from the' another anonymous tortured soul '.....I thought this tale also was frightful and dreadful...it brought even more tears to mein eyes...but you young people know best, as the master reassured me yet again...he ordered me to post it also...

'Once upon a time long long ago(20 years at least)
as I have already said we made the trap for Mr(name removed by blog admin)...we awaited with baited breath for him to trudge wearily homeward and experience pain and suffering when he fell down down the hole at 5:30pm....but...alas, some damn blundering fools came up the path at 5:15pm...we watched with fear and trepidation...sure enough they fell downMr(name removed by blog admin)'s hole...they were both women....one was a shuffling old near death aged about 90 and another was young... thank god neither suffered terminal pain and suffering...even from the windows of the T1 we could see that they found the experience funny...so one they had buggered off we rushed down to re set the trap for Mr_...we just had time...it worked...the rest is history!!!

kenton bar football team 1974-75

Here is a photo I found during more extensive research in a library... I remember the football team played for the 'Bagnall Cup' and played 'derbys' v St Cuthbert’s and also v Mountfield, North Fawdon, Wyndham, Montague and Snow Street (we and everyone else always thrashed Snow Street at least 12-0-their home pitch was at an angle of 45 degrees...) Note the' flag pennants' which were inspired by the Leeds United strip from the 1973-74 season on the socks of some of the kids in the front row...these had the numbers of the players on. the 10 first team players are all wearing the blue top with yellow hoop:the' subs' are wearing... whatever! It looks like they must have won the Bagnall cup that year! Anyone recognise themselves or any of the players?... (The tecka is Mr Brownlaw, a true gentleman...)
