a message to facebook fans

Hello there oh mein brothers and droogs!
We have been delighted with your comments on facebook re our beloved Kenton Bar Estate!every piece of the jigsaw adds to the perfection and a historical document that will be enjoyed by generations to come...
However I am hoping that you can also consider upping your comments on the blog proper,not just on the facebook page, as not all fans of the blog are on facebook.
Also if you link to the blog direct you can see all comments and a wealth of past material that is not accessible on the facebook page...the blog has been in existance for 9 months and there are 183 posts with a myriad of related comments, so what I am asking is please please post up comments on the blog as well as on the facebook page of it-and look at the blog proper to relive those glorious days of slim youth-I will copy all posts over from facebook to the blog if you cant be bothered, but please check out the blog proper as there are many threads we would love you to add to!

kenton bar football team 1974-75

Here is a photo I found during more extensive research in a library... I remember the football team played for the 'Bagnall Cup' and played 'derbys' v St Cuthbert’s and also v Mountfield, North Fawdon, Wyndham, Montague and Snow Street (we and everyone else always thrashed Snow Street at least 12-0-their home pitch was at an angle of 45 degrees...) Note the' flag pennants' which were inspired by the Leeds United strip from the 1973-74 season on the socks of some of the kids in the front row...these had the numbers of the players on. the 10 first team players are all wearing the blue top with yellow hoop:the' subs' are wearing... whatever! It looks like they must have won the Bagnall cup that year! Anyone recognise themselves or any of the players?... (The tecka is Mr Brownlaw, a true gentleman...) Name the cup. Name the year.   I know one of them - far right hand side, Machiavellian smile, lizard eyes, domed stupid melon hair - Phil Leaver.  He once played for Newcastle United.
