The caretaker of kenton bar school-cant remember his name-live in the same row of houses as Harry Cough-Cough...
ReplyDeleteAs I think I have already said elsewhere on the blog, not many people may know this but Mr Johnson, the head at Kenton Bar had an identical twin brother who was also a head teacher at West Jesmond Junior School!

ReplyDeleteThe carretaker was Mr Lamb, he had a little corgi dog that used to bark like crazy when you walked past the house.
ReplyDeletecan anybody remember the name of the old english sheep dog that used to roam around the estate or who the owner of the said dog was. big loloping hairy thing it was but very friendly, looked like it had just stepped straight out of a dulux paint commercial. i definately think this k9 deserves kenton bar celebrity status. ?

ReplyDeleteAnyone remember bobby the dog he had a muzzle on him and frightened the life out of us.we lived on hazledene ave near the bus bit and map.overlooking the flats.we used to play on the green there.i rem the days the council mowers used to do grass in the front gardens.everything smelled of grass and dog muck and we'd make piles of grass and throw it at the buses.long time ago x
