Note the thin slit bathroom/toilet windows in the 2 blocks of flats in the forground at the bottom of Ryal Walk, where the second step pyramid is...they must be the thinnest of all toilet/bathroom windows of any type of housing on the estate do you think?...did they ever open?...wonder if there had been a big storm...the fence to the left is propped with a log? to keep it up...

  3. This picture is in the Ryder & Yates book, which arrived today. Also a three house views, namely split level top row, some Mallowburn Crescent 3 beds (Viewed on the the mound through the trees) and one of the three flat Cubes (probably also on Mallowburn Cres)

  5. I imagine the photos are either from the Ryders archive or Jolyon has them. It might be worth trying to track down the author Rutter Carroll who is also an architect.

    According to the footnotes, there was a big feature on Kenton bar in the Northern Echo which may well have been illustrated.
