Anyone remember the White Arrow Man? He was a delivery bloke for the estate. Let my explain – us being poor working class types we could not afford to buy stuff from proper shops – so we would use catalogues like Marshall Ward, Grattan’s and so on. Pay a small amount each week for 20 or 38 weeks at about 20000000% interest and that 22 caliber slug gun can be delivered to your home by White Arrow Man. He looked like a character from a James Bond movie or Man From Uncle – the sort that is always a Russian spy – weedy and snipe faced, slicked back black hair – deathly pale with piercing eyes.

 

Why White Arrow Man? – the delivery service was called White Arrow – the vans were a sinister dark blue in colour with a white stylized arrow emblem. I am convinced that they were stuffed full of mind control equipment beaming messages into the heads of innocent proletarians influencing their next catalog purchases.

The sinister White Arrow organisation still exists…………
