Dedicated to Kenton Bar Estate and the Kenton Bar Pyramid. Situated to the north west of Newcastle Upon Tyne. Kenton Bar is a housing estate that is part of Kenton Ward in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. It is situated next to North Kenton, Cragston Park and Cowgate. It was the product of the architectural partnership Gordon Ryder and Peter Yates. The blog is particularly interested in the architecture of the estate and also to hear anecdotes from Kenton Bar residents past and present
The step pyramid at Fawlee/Beal green is no more...I went to photograph it but it is gone, as is the slide that was there...only a small ripple on the green grass which marks the spot betrays its former existance... :(
ReplyDeleteI wonder why they demolished that one only and left the other two(Ryal and Hartburn)?...
there are four in the picture you dolt - I demand that you investigate all of them and take current pictures.
ReplyDeleteYes,yes obvously:I ommitted to allude to the one they murdered along with our beloved holy grail when the demolished them-the one at the shops. We already have a magnificant one of the one at Hartburn on the blog, and can I sugggest you use it as your screen saver and get a tattoo of it ...the master posted an arial view of the one at Ryal. As I say it would be pointless photographing the sites of Fawlee and the shops as there a just ripples in the sand that remain...how horrible and cruel, foolish and mannerless...

ReplyDeleteI can see my old house. The estate looks so nice on this photo - what went wrong?
